Exploring the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act - Part 2 with Amy Morgan
The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) was signed into law by President Biden in December 2021. It went into effect on June 21, 2022. With this new law, and together with Section 307, it has created some confusion and concerns with importers of items that may have been from or sourced somewhere in the supply chain from the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR).
This second episode picks up with the process and steps you should follow when trying to comply with UFLPA. We pick up the conversation with Amy Morgan of Altana AI, who provides experience on collecting supply chain information to help build trust through an automated solution.
